The traditional narrative describes the mountain trembling under his immense strength.
He gathers all his energy.
The Vanaras encourage him.
Hanuman looks toward the distant horizon.
Then he makes the decision:

After overcoming these obstacles, Hanuman finally sees Lanka.
The city is described in the traditional Ramayana as magnificent and heavily fortified.
It is the kingdom ruled by Ravana.
Hanuman has successfully crossed the ocean.
But his mission is not finished.
Finding Lanka was only the first step.
Now he must find Sita.

Eventually, Hanuman reaches a beautiful garden known as Ashoka Vatika.
There he sees many trees and plants.
But something immediately catches his attention.
Under one of the trees sits a woman surrounded by guards.

It is Sita.

Sita is in a deeply sorrowful condition.
She is separated from Rama and surrounded by rakshasis.
She refuses Ravana’s demands.
Even though she is living in captivity, her determination remains strong.
Hanuman watches from a hidden position.
He does not want to frighten her.
He must find the right moment to approach her.

👑 Ravana Comes to Ashoka Vatika
Ravana arrives at the garden.
He again tries to persuade Sita to accept him.
But Sita refuses.
She remains completely devoted to Rama.
Ravana becomes angry but leaves after instructing the rakshasis to pressure her.
After Ravana leaves, Hanuman decides that the time has come.
He must reveal himself.

Hanuman approaches Sita carefully.
He tells her that he is a messenger of Rama.
But Sita is understandably cautious.
How can she know that this stranger is really connected to Rama?
Hanuman then presents a powerful symbol:

After a fierce confrontation, Hanuman is eventually captured using a powerful weapon associated with Indrajit, Ravana’s son.
Hanuman is brought before Ravana.
This gives Hanuman an opportunity he did not have before.
He can now speak directly to the ruler of Lanka.

Ravana asks Hanuman who he is.
Hanuman confidently explains that he is Rama’s messenger.
He warns Ravana that returning Sita is the wisest choice.
Hanuman explains that Rama will come for Sita.

Ravana’s court decides to punish Hanuman.

He confirms that Sita is safe.
Only then does he feel relieved.

And now he must return to Rama.
